Weapon Retention Lanyard (WRL™)
 
The WRL™ is a 17" inch bungee lanyard designed to work in unison with your rifle sling setup. When your rifle is slung onto your back or side, the WRL™ is used to provide additional retention, securing your weapon for the moments you need to go completely hands-free (Such as rappelling, fast roping, administering first aid or TCCC interventions, carrying casualties, etc). When fully stretched the WRL™ is 25" long.
 
The Lanyard is secured on the one end by girth hitching the lanyard through the built in loop; this can simply be tied onto any MOLLE row. Furthermore, the opposite end includes a male and female buckle that can easily be attached to any row of MOLLE.
 
This device is not intended for use to replace the tactical applications of a rifle sling, and should only be used in circumstances where securing a weapon to go hands-free is safely feasible.
